Selah: "To pause"
Many scholars believe that is implies a pause to think or meditate. On this idea is the purpose of the ministry: encouraging the youth of today to STOP what they are doing and THINK upon the things of God (Romans 12:1,2)
Our Purpose
The focus of Selah Youth Ministries is to minister to the individual needs of our youth. It is our desire to equip them not only spiritually, but also intellectually and socially, to meet the challenges of our rapidly changing world.
Selah Youth Group is formed with the intention of encouraging youth to grow in their relationships with Christ, As well as to provide an environment where young people can enter into true fellowship with God, Jesus Christ and other like-minded believers. Each Sunday morning and Wednesday night, the youth group gathers to worship and study the Word and to spend time with their Lord and Saviour.
At this time in life, youth need to be strengthened by the fellowship of other Christians their age and to learn more of the God who created their lives. In so doing it is the hope of the Selah group to be able to reach out to a world of lost and hungry youth who need to know the love of God and the sacrifice of His Son.
Monthly events provide opportunity to invite unsaved friends to receive the Lord and to enjoy an atmosphere that is fun and devoid of drugs, alcohol and many of the other things that can destroy lives built for Christ's glory.
Selah Youth invites all who are interested to come along and have a great time together to learn the goodness of GOD!
Junior High
The Junior High group meets Sundays at 10:00 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM (after worship) in the Junior High room.

The Senior High group meets Sundays at 10:00 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM (after worship) in the Senior High room.

The young adult group gathers Monday nights at the Bacon's home for dinner, discussion and prayer.
